Bellis Perennis is another one of the early flowering plants,  usally coming into flower just as the Tulips are cominbg into bloom. A variety of the common daisy that is found in lawns, however the flowers are brighter in colour and much larger.  Bellis will spread quite quickly if not kept under control, so bear this in mind when planting.

Usually sown in the in the summer, June to July and potted on once big enough, planted out where they are to flower the following year, Bellis is hardy and will tolerate the hard winters. Bellis should can be split and replanted in other areas, however some double forms will rever backj to thier orignal ordinary single forms. Once flowering make sure dead heads are removed  to keep the flowers coming,
