Crocus, another early flowering Spring bulb, although there are also Autumn flowering varieties, is an easy plant to look after with very little effort required once planted into the ground. Once the flowers have finished, leave the foliage to turn yellow before removing. Crocus is one of those bulbs I am always digging up around the garden when planting other things, then stuffing them back into the ground. This may explain why they are all over the garden. Plant in the ground in Autumn, planting depth can vary so it is best to follow the guidelines on the packaging. The early they are planted the better, this gives  them enough time to grow some roots before the frosts begin. Completely hardy in the UK climate so the perfect plant and forget bulb.
